Parks

The City of Moore Haven Park is located at 299 Riverside Drive Moore Haven FL 33471. There is anabundance of colorful playground equipment and four picnic shelters. A large water park is a favorite among the children and the Racquet ball Court and Tennis Court is a favorite among the younger adults. Volley ball with a sand court is available also.

A large stage is available for weddings, music and other events. A one hundred dollar deposit is required and will be returned upon passing an inspection for proper cleaning up. Click here for application.

The Moore Haven Chalo Nitka Grounds that includes numerous small shelters, a large stage and pavilion is available for rent located at 301 10th Street. Click here for fees and application.

The City of Moore Haven Ball field complex is located at 526 10th Street and consists of three fields and a concession stand. Tournaments and leagues are welcome. Click here for fees and application.

The Moore Haven River WalkPark runs alone Riverside Drive from Avenue L to Avenue R. It includes a colorful sidewalk, picnic shelters and docks for small boats.

The Moore Haven City Docks located at 299 Riverside Drive is available for transit boat at a dollar per foot if staying overnight. It consists of 289 linier feet and is first come first served. Showers and Restrooms are located in the park. Payment can be made at City Hall or after 5:00 P.M. someone from the City of Moore Haven will come to assist you. The Glades County Library is located at 200 Riverside Drive next to City Hall. Across from the Library is the Lone Cypress Tree Park an excellent place to sit and relax. Call 863-946-0744 for the Library’s hours of business.


Garbage, Rubbish and Refuse

The City of Moore Haven Garbage collection for residential pickups are twice a week at $26.25 per month.

The South side of Moore Haven from Highway 27 through Rivergardens, Bowdens Subdivision and Glades Little Ranches pickups are done on Tuesday and Fridays.

The North side of Moore Haven from Highway 27 to Avenue A including Washington Park pickups are done on Monday and Thursdays.

Residents in Bowden Subdivision and Glades Little Ranches must sign and send to City Hall an authorization for pickups. Click here for authorization form.
